Nice discovery of this beautifully decorated hotel with a very attentive staff. Room 7 is huge. Perfect for a lovely weekend. The fake fireplace gives a warm and romantic side.

We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights, while attending a wedding in the Abbey of Notre Dame in nearby Morienval. The hotel is only two star, so one cannot expect luxury, but the lady in charge was very friendly, and helpful, and the accommodation was satisfactory. There were negatives in that it lacked a lift, the parking is only on the public road, and there wasn't any air conditioning, which I suspect might be a problem at the height of summer.

The breakfast was not included in the price, but was fine.

One problem is that the front door is shut between 12:00 noon and 6:00 p.m., so one must use a code to enter. Obviously this is OK, except when checking in, or leaving.

The location is beautiful, with a lake just over the road, and the castle within a few hundred yards. We are told that the latter featured in the TV series 'Merlin', and it was most impressive.

The village is not on a rail line, there is a bus service to Compiegne, but probably best to go by car.

A nice hotel in a wonderful location

The six-room hotel has been refurbished in a sober manner, there are still some details to be worked out to be perfect, however, the place is quiet (we were there one Sunday evening) and we slept well.

I mean, well...

The hotel is not soundproof, the floor is creaking in the hallway, and you can easily hear the neighbors showering. The accommodation is medium and the beds are too flexible. Only 2 220 V sockets (away from the bed), a little stiff for recharging laptops and tablets.

Badly sounded

The hotel is in good condition and very close to the castle - Friendly home and pleasant room - Little bemool on the bed (spring bed and very soft mattress!). SDB a bit old-fashioned.

Small inn with 6 bedrooms in an old building, the picturesque side is ruined by the well-known Scandinavian type renovation, it really stands out in the rooms. Good size water room with bathroom (rest after a long visit and walk) lacks a towel holder and shelf to lay down the necessary toiletries.

One night is enough

We stayed one night at a professional seminar. The hotel is actually well located, the breakfast reception is good. On the other hand, the code system at the front door when you arrive late is quite tedious, the door having a lot of trouble opening. Otherwise I saw from previous comments that you would renovate your rooms; that will be fine because the bedding is not comfortable and the bathroom lacks a more modern arrangement (light, storage table and more than one towel per room would be fine!). A person with improved sound insulation would also be fine (room 3 is against the stairs). Unfortunately we didn't really have time to taste your specialty at the restaurant.

A small hotel well placed between the lake and the castle

The good: very nice room design, very romantic and clean. The location is great: our room had a view over a lake and the Pierrefonds castle was in 5 min walking distance.
The bad: the bathroom was a bit shabby, no lift but only stairs, otherwise everything was as expected.
Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Lovely hotel, great location

We had been told that access was limited, so went across the road to the cafe to wait the short time before the door would be open. Our twin room was on the first floor, at the head of a flight of wooden stairs.  Adequate size, clean and with a view of the chateau, decent size bathroom with bath and shower over.  We stayed 2 nights as we were touring the area. Althought we didn't have breakfast, the menu both evenings was varied and the dining room  very pleasant.  I get the feeling that the couple who own it do everything so full credit to them.
